Am I not guaranteed accommodation as Birmingham was my insurance choice? If not, what options are available to me?

If you are offered a place at Birmingham through the Clearing or Adjustment processes then we would advise that you make an application online and then contact us to discuss your requirements and current availability. We will try to accommodate all students where we have availability after the guarantee schemes have been fulfilled. If your place has only recently been confirmed you may not yet be able to log into the application system, in which case our team can assist you.

Is it an absolute minimum requirement of having 7A*'s to be able to apply for Birmingham? I have 6A*'s and 2A's, so I would fall short of the minimum entrance requirements. I intend to study Medicine!

Hi. Although everything is fine with my Tuition Fee Loan I do not have my Student Support Number which is necessary for a registration at University of Birmingham. Where can I find this Number?

Hello,

Hello,

I'm considering applying for the Nursing degree and hopefully the Adult specialisation. If anyone has any input on this that would be great!

I would like to know about the city life in Birmingham, when compared to places like Manchester. How diverse are the people there? Is there 'something for everyone'?
Is the university well-run? Are there any problems with it?

The city is quite diverse. Probably the biggest diversity outside of London. I've recently graduated and decided to stay in the city because I've really enjoyed it. And yes, something for everyone, in terms of shopping, music tastes, cultural stuff etc.
In birmingham foundation academy there are two types of titles at the offers you send
Bachelors degree with integrated foundayion year ( 4 years ) and
Birmingham foundation academy programme ( 1 year )

Whats the difference between the two of them and
will the students finance fund both of them

Cool :h: It's just that I've heard that although it's a city, Birmingham is a bit like several large towns stuck together.
When are/were reading lists issued? I say were, entirely in fear that I was sent one and missed it somehow. I want to try and prepare myself now that I know I am in. Political Sciences, if I need to supply that info.

Hello, the minimum is A*’s in Maths, English and sciences. This, however, is the minimum and Medicine is a competitive programme, therefore, meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee being selected for interview as many applicants meet and far exceed the minimum.

Hello! When you arrive you will receive a separate reading list for each of your modules and each individual module leader will advise you on how to approach the reading on those modules. So, you are best to wait until you get here as we wouldn’t want to anticipate the advice from each module leader. Also, the reading lists for each module are still in the process of being revised for the year ahead.

Hey I was wondering for Computer Science, would you accept a Level 3 Extended Diploma (18 units) in IT and also do you interview applicants?

Thanks, in advance.

I have an A* in English Literature, but an A in English Language. Would I fulfil the minimum requirement therefore? I've also done English Literature at AS level, achieving an A grade.

Preference will be given to those with A* in English, Maths and Science but having an A in English Language does not mean you won't be considered.

Hi guys, I'm an undergrad at UoB desperate to sell my room as I want a year out.

I live in Liberty Gardens which are university owned halls close to the Vale. The rent is £3990 for the year. The halls are in walking distance of the uni and The Bullring.

Let me know if you're interested.
