M4 differentiating energy equation help!

stuck on question 3c

i have the energy equation and differentiated with respect to time
i think you have to approximate it because it says small oscillation, but i dont know how! HELP!

This is a bit random, but what textbook are you using for Mechanics?, since I'm looking for a decent book.

mechanics 3 & 4 by douglas quadling published in 2001, its really old but i purchased it on ebay for only £3 :smile:
