Moments

This might sound like a really stupid question but how do you deduce whether a moment is acting clockwise or anticlockwise?
I'm trying exam questions but I can't seem to get the right answers and it seems that it's because I don't have it right when it comes to deciding which way a moment is acting. Is there a simple way to sort it out? thanks
