Yeah course you would mate, go and work your *******s off, have a high salary and then come back and sprout that crap

Easy to sit there as a student, saying you'd love to earn more money to pay more tax.

I had my first job this year. So first time I have payed national insurance. I was perfectly happy to do that.

Although now I am unemployed I can claim £300 back from the tax man and claim JSA. Thanks for the free monies Billydisco! :colone:

2) we are admitting people from poor countries (how many Dutch/French/Germans/Italians come here vs /Polish/Romanian/Slovakian ?) who have poor skills and consuming more than they contribute because they pay hardly any tax. If you were born in Romania with jack-****, would you stay there or move to the UK???

Anyway, if people want to moan about cuts- better start-off with preventing leaches arriving here. Dont moan about cuts whilst we accept 10-member families from Romania and wonder why we can't afford to reduce doctor waiting lists.

3) I am talking about highly-skilled foreigners, like the French engineering school grads who work in the city.

I'm not arguing against stricter regulations in order to get into the country. But in order for people from outside the uk to get benefits they need to show a strong link to the country, and needs to either be in work, or have had a job in the uk recently. People can't just move over here and start claiming benefits.

And as part of the eu, we have to let other members of the eu into our country and there are a lot of benefits to being in the eu. However there are cons as well which is why there is currently an argument going on about whether it should be brought to referendum.

But as it stands right now, the government needs more money and the wealthy is the most logical (and most likely only) place to get it.

It doesn't work like that when you have a boss shouting at you all day, work pressure etc. You realise there's a reason why you're paid so much........ and then you see how much of it goes on tax whilst somebody else who did ****-all except shag around gets £30k in benefits...... from your taxes....

Or when your boss shouts at you for daring to extend your one of only two 15min breaks by two mins in your crap min wage job.

Workers rights? What are you on about?

High pay = high demands, or it wouldnt be high paid!

You see, the fact you start mentioning unions shows your from another planet. What do you think a union is going to tell a company- "you cant expect deadlines from employees"?

You have the left-wing mindset, you dont want to take responsibility, you just want a union to cover your arse. Might work like that when you earn min wage- but when you're on proper money you dont have unions. A union is for people who are so worthless individually, they can only blackmail in large numbers.

Actually plenty of highly paid jobs aren't the most demanding lets be honest, else child social workers and nurses would be the highest paid of all...

No - just take on enough staff to do the work and make sure you pay enough for the hours put in.

Rubbish, plenty of higher paid jobs are Unionised. All those in the public sector are and a number in the private sector are either unionised or have strong professional bodies that essentially act as unions.

You have a right wing mindset - you think everyone's earnings are proportional to the effort they put in, which is simply misguided...

If Labour get in and start on the rich (I'm hoping they are only currently saying all this to get votes from the plebs) I will probably move. I'm not paying more tax because a significant proportion of this country are ****ing failures.

What if everybody in this country was your typical Labour failure? There would be no state handouts as there'd be nobody to fund it all! Thats the easiest way to prove Labour/socialism is logically wrong.

All wealth creators/entrepreneurs are right-wing Tories...... at least a country full of Tories you'd still have an economy running!

Yet you're coy as to what you do and why you stay.
FFS. This isn't unreasonable taxation. It's not a return to the 1970s. Calm down love.

You exceeded your allowed break, thus stealing two minutes of time your employer has paid you to work. He has every right to shout at you.

In my first part time job it was always just assumed that I'd do an extra hour's worth at the end of the day without it being acknowledged on my wage. Like no conversation occurred I'd just still be doing work past 5 o clock and I stopped working when he did. I was happy to do this because it made my employer think better of me.

My dad worked as chemist in the oncology section of a world leading pharmaceutical company for most of my life. You know the one that our government was getting all wound up when Americans were threatening to wreck it and **** up our economy as a result (it's that big). Very skilled stuff. He was in a union and even voted for strike action once :colone:

My dad doesn't know but he is actually very left wing. :moon:

It wasn't me. It did happened to me though. I just ignored the tit. They did nothing.

The point I was making is these people are on low pay, near min wage and work 10 hours days and get three 15 min brakes. No lunch brake or anything. They work hard doing repatative tasks over and over. It is hard work and I found it very stressful. Billydisco is talking crap with all the 'natural economic justice' stuff. I suppose it is just fine the way Chinese sweatshop workers are treated since they 'signed up to it'

Well done for being a kiss ass and undermining your own and others labour rights. I know this is common in the work place and it annoys me.

Just because it happened to you doesn't make it OK dude!

That's what I hate about today's society 'oh I had it crap so everyone else should have to have that ****nat work too'

Whatever happened to it was **** for me so I'd like other people not to have to go through that?
I agree...to an extent.

It seems I worked my ass off to escape my socioeconomic class/become wealthy despite all odds, only to end up paying extortionately high tax rates to pay for the chavs who bullied me for my aspirations back at state school (who are now at home on the dole alongside the babies they starting spouting out at 16.)

I don't understand your first sentence.

I'm sure they work hard at your ex job. To be honest the employers should put two of the breaks together and make a half hour lunch break. If there were a petition to give them an hour and fifteen minutes break I'd sign it. But your friend broke the rules, which are harsh put not scandalously so imo, so deserves a ticking off. If every employee took just two minutes off then that would prbably hinder the process or some **** so it's probably just man management from the boss.

I had every right to not work like the rest sure. But then he had the right to fire me on the spot and call in someone who was willing to do more than the bare minimum (since it was a zero hour contract kind of. Basically I did work for them and got cash in hand). I wasn't going to let my Dad down and the other people down, since I got the job because my Dad knew a guy who knew a guy. Basically i was given the job as a favour, and was very much my responsibility to give it my all. They could have got a fully grown man to come in and do what I did. There's something called a social contradict to those who are giving you opportunities in life.

As above, I didn't have it bad. I simply did what was expected of me by a small firm who were offering me a crust of their earnings. I make no apologies whatsoever for that.

You have a mind of an extremely deluded 14 year old boy who thinks he can play football in the national team.

Your logic is entirely fraud. I can see why you called education "free" and it doesn't matter to me. What does matter is that you really think if everyone succeeded in the education system we wouldn't need taxation to redistribute the wealth.

Your cow mathematics equip you well to be a servant and perhaps earn a decent salary one day - the salary which entitles you to buy commodities which de facto come from the labour of the working poor who never succeeded in the education system but are the actual wealth creators.

You have the rich because you have the poor and vice versa. This is why we have wealth redistribution. We already have 50% higher education enrolment in UK, if we had 100% in higher education at good universities doing serious degrees noone would ever agree to work for your salary, and therefore taxation would not exist as we know it.

Labour is going to win the next general election so stop hating you shmok

Having inequality is not a valid explanation/reason for government redistributing the wealth....

You don't really understand what inflation is do you?
why do you guys hate paying tax so much? You can't just take take that from the system without bothering to give anything back in return.

talk about selfish

Because tax is coercion, you're forcing somebody to do something they may not have otherwise been willing to do. Freedom is precious.

Who takes from a system without giving back? the only people I can think of that do that are people who have never worked before in their life and are given handouts and the government themselves who take from poor people in our country and give money to rich people in poor countries. (foreign aid)

soooo... you want to abolish taxes altogether?

A lot of people are unemployed through no fault of their own, which negates your second point.
