Variable acceleration

Hello,

Initially, an object has a velocity of 0 m/s and acceleration 8.44 m/s^2. After travelling 500 km, its acceleration is 9.81 m/s^2. How would you calculate the final velocity of the object?

Thank you

In what way did the acceleration change during those 500km?
Did it change uniformly, and furthermore did it change uniformly with time or uniformly with distance travelled?
This will determine how it's done. (I suspect it changed uniformly with time.)
You first need the equation that defines how the acceleration changed.
