It was the condenser was placed the wrong way (should have been placed so that water goes against gravity) - so it wouldn't distill off properly
The thermometer was placed too high - so the reading of the temperature would be incorrect
The apparatus was closed - risk of explosion

yeah i'm alright with it tbh got 79/80 in the mock so gunna leave it :tongue:

Highest I got in Chemistry was 73/80 and that was a fairly decent paper. My teacher compiled questions from different papers and stuff.

Yep that's my plan as well. I dropped like 3 marks in my mock but I hadn't really revised a couple of the reactions of halogenoalkanes that came up so didn't know the exact equations

Yep I knew what the main products were but I had to wing the other products so lost a couple from that and obviously I dropped like 2 on mc
