How can we encourage young women to do male dominated jobs?

why do we need to encourage women to do jobs they apparently don't want to do? :| for the sake of some rainbow-statistics? we shouldn't be insecure that women in our society prefer certain trades.
I do find it a bit odd that when people point out the low numbers of bin-women it is because women don't want to do that, but when people point out the low number of CEOs or engineers it is because of sexism. Anyone ever consider that just less women want to go into those jobs as well?
