Help me figure this out

1-20cm^3 of ethyne C2H2 are reacted with 509cm^3 of oxygen.
What is the total volume of gas remaining at the end of the reaction?

I keep on getting the answer 400cm^3 but it is 490cm^3 how come??

2- A solution contains barium ions and silver ions and one type of anion, what could anion could it be?
A chloride only
B nitrate only
C sulfate only
D all

I thought it was D but it said it's B... Is it because of that some of the ions together form ppt and not a solution?

All of the other anions form a precipitate with either barium ions or silver ions

Because Barium sulphate is insoluble and so is barium chloride/ silver chloride I believe
