Hey what graphs do we need to know for the cardiac cycle?

It is a bit more difficult to predict this paper as they're likely to combine multiple topics but I have tried!

• Production of Urine / Osmoregulation
• Cancer - treatments and protooncogenes and increased oestrogen concentration
• Stem cells / cell specialisation / totipotency
• Co – transport / other methods of transport (more application based here).
• Oestrogen model of transcription (could be application of unknown hormone).
• Pacinian Corpuscle / other receptors (could be application of unknown receptor here).
• Vaccinations / forms of immunity?
• Speciation?
• Tissue Fluid?


Essay is likely to be on Cycles in Biology but again this could be anything.

Hey, I was just wondering you got the chromatography practical right. I wish I stuck to your predictions in paper 2 instead of trying to cram all the content the night before and not remember anything Any idea of what practical could be asked in paper 3? Thank youuuu

Who knows which of the required practicals could come up lol. Most likely, they will use the skills you learnt from your required practicals (drawing a biological structure, calibration curves, rate calculations etc) and apply that to some awful practicals they give you.

For a specific practical, I think organ dissection may be used, as they haven't asked much questions on this. I think they will give you an unfamilar organism (e.g. insect) and provide a method, which you'd then have to assess and answer questions for.

for the homeostasis topic, what has already come up so i dont have to revise it?

They put a little bit about glucagon, insulin and 2nd messenger model in paper 2, so you still have negative feedback and everything about kidneys and water potential

does anyone have a list of essay titles so i can practice making essay plans? i picked my A level subjects specifically to avoid essays lmao and i've always been bad at writing loads in a short amount of time

An essay on cycles would be a godsend
nitrogen cycle, phosphorus cycle, cardiac cycle, krebs cycle, maybe throw in something on the carbon cycle

this is the new marking method for examiners, should help formulate your essay structure as you can see how they specifically mark it.
