Exponentials and Logs

I’m doing question 10 in the Edexcel assessment materials. I’ve got two equations:

18 = A - B
44 = A - Be^-0.7

I’m having trouble solving them. I know I need to do simultaneous equations but I can only get to:

26 = -Be^-0.7 + B

Do I need to take lns?

No, there's no need to take logs - it won't help with the right hand side.

Just factorise the RHS.
