Does anyone else prefer nostalgia?
I can't help but feel the times we live in are slightly bland and prefer nostalgia. Love the eighties but particularly late 80s early 90s as a reference, then up to mid nineties. After that I feel Brit pop a bit overrated. Then it's the Blair years 9/11 etc.

Bumped.
I often think about this too. Life just seems really serious right now and has done for the last 15 years or so. But then I think that in that time, my levels of responsibility are way higher than they were back in the 80s and 90s when I was free to come and go as a pleased. I have therefore concluded that the current state of politics and the world in general has nothing to do with how I feel and it is more down to my responsibilities. We forget that the 90s were a decade of sleaze in politics and a mainland IRA bombing campaign.
