cumalative negative binomial

can someone pls explain how the cumulative negative binomial works; i know there's some sort of a link to the binomial distribution, but idk how it works

and has a bit about the cumulative, though once you understand the basic distribution, the cumulative is fairly obvious.

If you look at this question, the hint is quite helpful. Basically for the game to continue into the 11th match, he must not win more than 3 during game 1-10, and that is a simple binomial distribution with B(10,0.3) and you find P(x≤3). Hope it helps?
