How do I solve these questions on logarithms and exponentials ?

I found this on the MathsGenie website but dont quite get their solution

The temperature of water in a kettle is modelled using the formula T = 75e-kt
+ 22
Where T is the temperature t minutes after the kettle is turned off and k is a positive constant.
(a) Find the rate of change of the temperature in terms of k

Thank You
What have you tried so far?
If you really have no idea how to start, the words "rate of change" should mean only one thing...

Are you saying you have the solution to the problem but don't understand part of it?

Can you upload / link to / type out the solution and what it is that you don't get?
