AQA Foundation or Higher

The AQA GCSE Maths course has two exam levels: Foundation and Higher neither of which are shown on their certificate. Does that mean Foundation level 4 is considered exactly the same as Higher level 4?

Essentially yes, but attaining a grade 4 at Higher level is easier in terms of marks needed, whereas to attain a grade 4 at Foundation level requires a higher percentage than Higher

Thanks for your reply. Wow, that's amazing about the higher Foundation marks needed to get a grade 4. However, if that's true it should still be stated on the certificate which exam was taken?
