Straight line circles q

Help I don’t get how they got the gradient as -12/5.
I’m forgetting how to do 1st year topics and I’ve got my finals in a week!
So can someone plz just explain and not IMG_2526.jpegIMG_2527.jpegwaffle plzzz

Specifically to your question, it's just a matter of transforming your line equation into "y = mx + c". Then the m is the gradient. (Probably need one more line of algebra if you didn't see it)

That said, the why is more important here.

P.S. There are many ways of doing this problem. If you happen to know the formula of the distance between a point to a line, then the answer is instant.
