is Cu(OH)2 the same as [Cu(OH)2(H2O)4]?? (from the addition of a small amount of ammonia^) My text book and cgp guides give a different product so i’m not sure which one is right :/
Cu(OH)2 is a simplified version. For most exam boards if they ask you for the equation for formation of the precipitate you can use this formula; in reality though the four waters from the original complex ion are still attached.

theyre exactly the same, in the exam you can write either (unless its an equation in which case go for the full version)
