Best zoology degrees

Does anyone know about UK zoology degrees, those considered as having a good reputation, low drop out, good career prospects, good links for placements/jobs? And great lecturers!

Thanks

Hey!

Just popping in to say whilst we don't offer Zoology we do offer Wildlife and Conservation Science, it might be worth checking out as the modules may match what you are looking for.

In terms of career prospectus, we have just been named the number 1 university in the UK for graduate employment in the HESA: Graduate Outcomes 2023.

Best of luck with your application wherever you do decide to go though!

Hey @Vetmum7,
You might want to check out our Bsc Zoology course here at Reading! We've got loads of opportunities for placements, including enrolment on a 4-year degree that includes an integrated professional placement year instead of our usual 3-year course. Our Whiteknights campus is renowned for its biodiversity, acting as a living laboratory to create fantastic teaching and learning environments. We also have our own accredited on-site museum, the Cole Museum of Zoology, which is used extensively in teaching and provides opportunities to develop hands-on skills in natural history conservation.

As a wider university, we have a thriving Students Union with over 150 societies to join, several schemes such as THRIVE mentoring and a dedicated Careers Service designed to compliment your studies and prepare you for graduate life, as well as offering support for three years after graduation. You can find out loads more about our campus, courses and accommodation options via our website, reading.ac.uk

If there's anything else you'd like to learn more about, please let us know!

Exeter is highly rated - the campus is even better than Reading and you are near the sea.
