Has anyone tried out the pc mode/desktop mode on android phone/tablets?

is it really awesome? does it really give a pc feel when using it?

stuff like able to open multiple windows at a time and switching window is smooth? Are those apps actually running when you place them in the background?

I've used DeX on my Samsung tablet (basically the same as the phone version).

It's definitely usable in a pinch, but it isn't a full replacement for a computer since it's still mobile apps, and a lot of them aren't designed to be used in this way. It's basically like a chromebook, in some ways better but also some ways worse. At least with Chrome OS, you can actually use Linux apps.

Apparently the stock Android one is even worse...
