Why don't people realise they are being socially engineered?

There is no 'capitalist' spirit which rewards hardworking people looking to improve their lives through small commerce. Shopkeepers and local businesses are being *deliberately* wrecked by the government - by both political parties. Large companies (with monopolies) are allied with the government, and they avoid paying their taxes, while exploiting illegitimately brought-in foreign labour.
