Jay-Z

Does anyone like Jay-Z or tolerate his music? I don't mind rap, but usually I associate Jay-Z with rapping in songs that really don't need and sound worse for it. Numb by Linkin Park certainly didn't need Jay-Z, and the tone of the song and its emotional impact were totally obliterated with Jay-Z's rap in it. The same for Alicia Keys' song New York, I don't see what Jay-Z's rapping contributes to the song at all, and it sounds worse as a result imo. I don't think it makes sense either, that Jay-Z is in the rock and roll Hall of Fame-but I guess money and fame can get you anywhere.
