The Student Room Group

Most racist university town/city in the Russel groups?

I was thinking about this the other day and wanted to ask everyone on here, in your opinion or maybe even experience, what is the most racist town/city out of the top universities? Obviously they all have loads of students from different cultures and ethnicities but which city would an international student who doesn’t “look British” experience the most racism (subtle or direct). Thanks

Some might say places where there are a high number of non-whites/internationals but that'd be a red herring imo because when there are more people who could potentially experience something, there are more numbers of people it may happen to.

In real terms, implicit racism is always going to be much more prevalent than explicit. Implicit imo as a percentage is more likely in general to happen in places with the lowest percentages of non-whites/internationals. This tends to be villages or small towns (or the few cities that can be called 'small') rather than large cities.
