No way! The world owes me nothing, if anything it's me that owes the world...though I would like to get something in return!

so what your saying is....

two people apply for a job, one has the job of the grade below and is trying to be promoted after 3 years of working hard.

are you telling me someone with a degree should get this job more than him

No, going to university is your choice, it doesn't mean you have to be rewarded for it. There are plenty of other people that deserve some slack other than those university bimbos.

Nothing, just an expression used for people that are born with a silver spoon in their mouths.

No, I feel like it will be an amazing experience and it's more than likely I will come out feeling like I owe the world something, after spending 6 years in university and 13 years in prior education, I imagine it will feel like the time I did something that would give back something to the country instead of using the taxes to fund my learning.

Is English your first language? Because it doesn't look like it :s-smilie:
Um... no! So many people go to uni, so the world would have to owe something to lots of people

if someone thinks that they are truly selfish.
Nope, If I do decide to go in 2 years time then it will be because it's what I want to do. I don't feel pressure to do it and I definitely don't think the world will owe me something. The main reason i'm going is to hopefully open more doors in my specialist field (Geography). I don't think that if I were to drop out with an A* in Geography at GCSE that i'd be able to go as far.
Nope, I have just as much respect for my mates who've been labouring for the last 2/3 three years. And they've got more cash than me!

I can't stand people who think they're better than others. They usually aren't.
