Trapezium rule

by drawing a graph can someone please explain why increasing the number of ordinates increases the accuracy of the answer for trapezium rule

When you increase the number of trapezia the slanting line gets closer to the curve

Draw a graph with one trapezium ... way under (or over the curve) right?

Now draw 4 or 5 trapezia ... clearly each one is closer to the curve so the area is closer to the correct answer
