Simple fraction question

2 divided by 3/4 = 8/3 or 2 2/3 in my opinion

Why are people on FB telling me it's 1 1/2 as that is 75% of 2 or 3/4 of 2?

Am I correct as trying to help my year 5 grand daughter

It is wrong. They have flipped the fraction twice (going back to multiplication), whereas you only need to flip it once.

It doesn't take a genius. If you divide 2 by a number less than 1, the product will be larger than 2, not 1 and a half.
