Im studying restless earth, coasts and water on the land.. any predictions for these topics' case studies?

Restless Earth - hopefully fold mountain uses (I pray) or stuff to do with earthquakes (We had Kobe and Sichuan).

Rivers - flooding responses/effects. That or water transfer. (Bangladesh and Mississippi.)

Coasts - coastal flooding/habitat responses. (Essex marshes and Holderness)
yes!!

yes!

All I know is it happened because material was easily eroded (gravel and sand). And also, houses can be destroyed and the tourism industry suffers. Anything else?

Also for the people doing Ice on the Land, I predict a question on drumlins in one form or another

Oh dear, I hate drumlins. They're not even properly explained in the textbook!

there are lots of predictions earlier on in the thread
hello,is hard or soft engineering better? why? i cannot seem to find these answers on the line many thankyous xxxxxx
Coasts pls
a. fairly confident, a little less confident on my avalanche and volcanic case studies (praying volcanoes aren't on because they were last year)
b. the restless earth, water on the land & ice on the land
It's seriously unlikely this will come up, as it came up last year.
Formation of an oxbow lake, learn bcs it will probably arise

Call it an 'oversimplification' to definitively say one is better than the other.

Hard engineering projects are generally better at actually preventing coastal erosion, but are often very expensive, aesthetically unpleasing and can harm to environment. Some hard engineering projects also exacerbate problems in other areas

Soft engineering projects on the other hand, are significantly cheaper as they are more based on planning and making strategic decisions to save as much as possible without the massive costs. You should mention, however, that in the short-term this can be more expensive than hard engineering projects such as land use management forcing property developers to use more expensive land away from the coast, thus raising the prices for consumers.

Spoiler

Wouldn't revise Kielder water - came up last year.
Wouldn't revise tsunami - came up 2 years ago
Wouldn't revise management strategies ( coastal zone ) - came up last year
That's 3 less

It's water transfer.

River management: Soft Engineering - Mine is my town xD
River management: Hard Engineering - Three Gorges Dam

What you don't need case studies though? you just need to know the different schemes.

you just check off the subjects you're doing

thanks a bunch

Same, but Kielder water? I didn't.
Im not doing volcanic eruption/epping forest
How are Shield volcanoes formed?
Kielder water definitely came up - explain disadvantages / advantages of a reservoir scheme you have studied ( Q4d - around that number any way)
