How many girls are there doing physics degrees?

Hi! I am thinking about doing physics at uni and was wondering what was the ratio of males to females doing physics, as I know it is going to be male dominated, but I just want to know how much it will be! Thanks :smile:

This year's Physics intake at Royal Holloway is 60:40 male:female, but that's much higher than most places. Some departments are more female-friendly than others, so if this is important to you, it's worth asking before you make your UCAS choices. You can also see on their websites whether they have Athena Swan and/or Juno awards for gender equality.
