Did they ask to draw the major product in Skeletal or displayed form?
And also, did they Aldehyde and Carboxylic acid have to be drawn in skeletal form or could it be drawn in displayed form as well?

U can draw any unless they specify but i personally prefer drawing displayed instead of skeletal unless stated otherwise
Guys do you think it would be acceptable to write iodohexanol in the major product. Because I assumed in situ it meant with sulphuric acid and so iodine was formed which then underwent electrophilic addition with the Alkene. As water was also present OH- was a better nuclephile hence the iodoalkane. I don't think it's right but any chance?
