I'm not sure about books but if you go into this website I'm sure it'll sort of help you:-
http://search.ucas.co.uk/cgi-bin/hsrun/search/search/StateId/CvsQ63Ymb4GDaeBXcPSurQFaV5MQA-4APd/HAHTpage/search.HsKeywordSuggestion.whereNext?query=436&word=MICROBIOLOGY&single=Y
then choose one of the courses and click on Entry Requirements and then English, Welsh and Northern Irish Framework Qualifications if you wanna find out the grade range you need. I've heard that Nottingham (not nottingham trent), Leicester and warwick are good for Science base courses and I'm not sure about bristol or birmingham - hope this helps!

thanks but I'm not hoping to integrate an undergraduate course per say but just do the same as they do but only by myself , I know it's kinda stupid but you can't take two courses at the same time...I just want the books. Thanks
