why does 100-(10/6)C >0 simplify to C< (6/10)100 ? My first step was to move the (10/6)C to the other side, to get 100> (10/6)C, but apparently this is wrong..

does the rule of moving stuff to the other side differ when you're using inequalties, as opposed to when your working with equalities?

That's fine - you're one step away from having the answer. :smile:

One pitfall to avoid with inequalities is multiplying or dividing the whole expression by a negative number, as this will change the sign of the inequality.
