C4 Help

Heyyy Guyss,

Im doing C4, and im on the MEI board ive got my exam in 2 weeks and couldnt understand some questions on this paper even when looking at the answer.

Above is the paper and its Question 6i) and 7i) so if anybody could explain how they managed to get this answer id be very greatful!

And also im having trouble with differential equations, are there any resources available to me so i can get better!

6.i)Consider OAE+EAC+BAC=120
EAC=90; OAE=90-theta;
therefore BAC=theta-60;
CD=AE=asin(theta); BC=bsin(theta-60); hence Q.E.D

7.i)Just differentiate the solution given and check

Differentiate 11+et\frac{1}{1+e^{-t}} gives et(1+et)2\frac{e^{-t}}{(1+e^{-t})^2}
Substitute back to the original equation, and check the condition t=0; x=0.5 and t=infinity; x=1
