Stroke Volume = Cardiac Output / Heart Rate
so, it was 5000/55= 9.09

But isnt 5000/55 = 90.9
not 9.09 ??
Oops I meant 90.9 I actually put that in the exam

I put 9 for water molecule thing

And for the first one I reckon cell membrane NOT cell wall

You had to talk about loss of elasticity (1), permanently inflated (1) low gas exchange, so less oxygen to alveoli (1) . surface area is reduced (1), less oxygen into the alveoli so you cant respire and therefore will be tired (1)

ok so i probably lost twoo marks... i think i can live with that!!?

I cant remember i fi put 9.09 or 90.09 but yeah i didnt notice the cm3 to dm3 thing in the cardiac output question... so might have gotten that wrong... sneaky aqa!
The whole of the unit is all about cell membranes and their functions and stuff... if it's cell wall ****s gonna hit the fan

What did you get for the sucrose concentration being the same as the the water or whatever? :s-smilie:
Reply 47
Yeah i got the same calculations.

What did people write for the bond between the two molecules and the question after saying what was in a triglycoride that wasnt in that????

Think i got 5/5 and 5/5 but i lost the first mark as i put cellwall and i forgot sem disadvantages.. :frown:
well well well how was it

what did everyone put for number of water molecules. I put 11

I know I definitely got the 15 cm3 and 5 cm3 one wrong

half the paper was how science works

how did everyone find the last two questions?

The potato graph one? I put 0.35
Reply 53
Yep it is the cell membrane because it's the most inner one.
They go in that order: cell membrane -> cell wall -> capsule

glycerol and 3 fatty acids

the answer was ester bond

glycosidic bond
and i said that a triglycoride has a glycerol molecule
?

glycerol and 3 fatty acids

i just put glycerol is that right
Original post by Superlogon
the answer was ester bond

Ester?
Wasnt it between sucrose or glucose or something?

what was the very first question, what is a? i put cell wall but i got in wrong i think

I put cell membrane. There was the slime layer, then the cell wall and then the cell membrane which it was pointing at.
