I can't find it in my books anywhere...

If anyone could help I'd appreciate it! x

lung cancer, emphysemia, strokes, 'smokers cough' (excess mucus), mouth cancer, gum cancer, more chances of lung infection as cila can't waft the bacteria out as they are 'clogged' by mucus etc...hope it helps:smile:

Carbon monoxide in the smoke itself reduces the bloods capacity to carry oxygen, it also stimulate
s vasoconstriction (narrowing of the blood vessels) which increases the risk of blood clots and stroke. Chemicals in the tar are carcinogenic. Tar causes damage to the cilia preventing them from wafting, this means they cant remove mucus, dirt and bacteria effectively increasing the risk of infection. Also causes damage to the lung tissue decreasing surface area for gas exchenge- emphysemia. also heart problems.
