What's wrong with this argument showing 1=2 using differentiation?

3) A function can have the same value and different initial values.
e.g. y'' = 12x^2 then y''(-1)^2 = y''(1)^2
Note there is a function (y = x^4) s.t. the above holds.
Why is -1 not the same as 1?
