Japan allied itself with, cooperated with, and supplied the German troops, and of course vice-versa.
The alliance with Germany rarely went beyond a theoretical stage. Ukrainian soldiers did not fight in the Far East (at least not until the last days of the war), and in any case this is a rather irrelevant point.

The Republic of Sierra Leone feels that WW2 is in the past, and although must not be forgotten, also must not be bought up in current debate. During WW2, mistakes were made. They have now been forgiven, so please do not bring the role of China or Japan during the Second World War into this debate.

Greece feels that perhaps our Chinese freinds should not be so sensitive to mere comments - and suggests that bringing this to the UN has made China responsible for further 'severing relationships'.

China feels a comment glorifying an invasion history which should be condemned is a serious matter for the UN.

The Republic of Sierra Leone feels that any comments glorifying any aspect of World War 2 are a serious matter. However, please can we leave the Second World War out of this debate, and continue discussing Taiwan.

China was referring to Taiwan.

China was referring to Taiwan.

But previously, roles in the Second World War had been brought up. The Republic of Sierra Leone feels this is unecessary.

China agrees it strayed rather off topic, but the PMs visits of a war shrine also pose concerns for China. Read the thread to find out why.

Although the Republic's views might not be worth anything, it still has the right to express them. It is not the place of Greece to criticise the position of the Republic.

China does not consider Greece to be of the utmost importance either.

China reminds nations it is not their position to criticise other countries position.

As a country with an on going civil war, and the poorest country in the world, the MUN must hold Sierra Leone's view with the same regard as China's, the US, or the UK. That is the purpose of the UN, to represent and view each country equally.

The Republic of Sierra Leone thanks China for it's support in this matter.

Greece apologises for any offense, its member acted foolishly in making his comments
While we support Taiwan we do not acknowledge Taiwan's independance and likewise feel that World War 2 is best left in the past.
