M2 Centre of Mass Question

Hi

I really need help on this question

There's a triangular frame and it has length of 24cm. So AB is 6cm, BC is 8cm and AC is 10cm. Its a uniform wire. I need to find out the centre or mass from AB and BC

have you got the height of the triangle? and I'm guessing AC is at the bottom?
Reply 2
No but im guessing you can do pythagoras therom and yh
Reply 3
A drawing would help? What kind of triangle is it? Right-angled, isosceles?
Reply 4
It doesn't say but i think its a right angle
Reply 5
If AB, AC and BC are parts of the wire, then treat each one separately as a body of its own. Each one's mass would be the same as its length. Meaning AB's mass = 6, etc..
Reply 6
how would i find the centre of mass for each length?
Reply 7
The centre of mass for each part would be at its midpoint.
