C3 trig help!

2sin(θ+π/6)

State the maximum value : 2

How do i find the smallest positive value of θ for which this maximum value occus. Please someone help im confused!:frown:

Equate it to 2, so u got 2sin(Θ+Π/6)=2

Then u divide both sides by 2 so u get sin(Θ+Π/6)=1

Awkward... I made it equal to pi/2 where the maximum of the graph sin(x) is?

Well you start by realising that this means sin(x+pi/6)=1. The first value of (x+pi/6) is sin^-1(1)=pi/2 which gives you a straightforward equation to solve.
They say the first value because sin repeats every 2pi

Π/6 =30 so Θ+30= 90,
So subtract 30 from both sides and Θ=60

Ohhhh sin(theta+pi/6) = 1 therefore theta + pi/6 =pi/2
Therefore theta = pi/3 !!!!!
