Differentiation

Hi, I was have differentiated an equation and I was wondering if anybody knows the method to solve the equation it gave me.
2 * 3^x * x^2 (xln(3)-3)=0
I know that one of the solutions will be 0.
Thank you.

It is factorised.

Therefore:

3x=03^x =0 (good luck with that) or x2=0x^2 =0 or xln33=0x \ln 3 -3 =0

Now look at each case in turn.
so x=0 or

xln3-3=0
xln3=3
e^3=3x
x=e^1

xln3-3=0
xln3=3
e^3=3x
x=e^1

What a load of drivel. Please don't post full answers (especially if they are wrong).

does not lead to

e^3=3x
x=e^1

xln3=3 is right

do you know what to do from there? hint think laws of logs

We know what to do. Clearly you don't.

Both of your final two lines are horrendous.

We both know what to do from there

It is you who does not know

Full stops don't play an important role in your world do they?

from xln3=3
what do u do i forgot its something to do with getting rid of ln and putting e in it i forgot

xln3=3 then what

Nope

Though our English team have set out a list of non-negotiables

If I see any work without Capital Letters and/or Full Stops I am meant to write NN next to the error

Well

Divide by ln 3.

No offence, but if you're not even sure of the maths - don't post it.

The rule is log(3x)=xlog(3)\log(3^x) = x \log(3)

So the maths you posted originally is completely wrong.

Divide by ln 3.

xln3=3
x=3/ln3

is that it

No it is not

well he is right but its not in the question and the brackets made it look confusing

...

By the way e33e\displaystyle \frac{e^3}{3} \neq e.
