Free Geneology Sites

is there any? i want to search thru senses before 1881 but familysearch doesnt seem to do this. is there anywhere for free online???

One possible palce to look is at http://freecen.rootsweb.com/

Though the last time I used it not all the country was covered then, but they were adding more all the time. They have pretty much all the census; pre-1881.

To see which areas are now covered and when they are covered for, go here: http://freecen.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl and click on the relevent areas/years.

There are possible other free sites out there too, but I think this is one I've used to most.

Also, try going to local libraries as they may have the records for certain areas and might, at a push, be able to borrow in the records for other areas.
