Partially. I love languages and I want to be a translator, interpreter or teacher after university. However, my course at Sheffield has compulsory modules in history, politics and economy, none of which I understand very well. Learning history in English is a challenge enough for me as the dates fly over my head and I have no concept of which groups were around at which times and what each of them wanted (especially with groups such as the Jacobins who kept changing their views). Studying it in a foreign language is pure hell and I dread each history essay that I have to write.
