"Were still young" LOL no wonder society is messed up.

To those who hate effeminacy, I appreciate that you may hate your own generation's debased BBC3-like form of what effeminancy is.

But one of my favourite comedians is Kenneth Williams who I daresay wouldn't necessarily have even called himself effeminate (eruditely theatrical, rather).

And David Walliams of course dabbles with effeminancy and he's actually a huge lover of women. Effiminancy is sometimes an expressive inclination to show an affinity with theatre. Not necessarily to show that you like men at all.

I'm kinda sick of the phrase "But, we're still young" or "He's still young"... What?

- If you see a 16 year old boy crying in a corner because he got a scratch on his arm. They'll tell you to let him go because "he's still young"... Nah, a boy at 16 shouldn't cry from a scratch.

- If you see your little brother acting girly, plays girl games and can't socialise with boys, there's definitely a problem. But, society says "He's still young" "He will grow out of if soon"... WHEN!?

- When you see a 13 year old that acts like he's 3, not wanting to participate in sports, doesn't want to study, can't talk without sounding like a complete child and can't even stand still for a second. This isn't normal, but society will say that "he is still young"

- When a girl still acts like a boy at 16, wearing baggy clothes and acting like a generic "dude"... That's not normal but society's response is "she's still young".

No they are not. What's the difference between a 16 and an 18 year old? Two years flies past without notice. At 13 a kid shouldn't act like he's 3, socialise with the wrong group and play with teapots and a teddy.

By saying "he/she's still young" you're delaying his/her development in life. They're growing up late and are late bloomers.

For example:

Theres this guy at school that never played sports, acted like a complete girl, sometimes comes in with foundation on his face etc... Now, the teachers said that he was still young and that he's still "experimenting"... Nah, the other 99% didn't take experimenting that far... Anyway, the guys 20 and has just started thinking about his life, what he wants to do and where he wants to go. He totally hates his childhood because it has affected his adulthood.

In short: BAN THE PHRASE "He or She's too young"

Nah, they're not too young. People are allowed to express their gender in any way they'd like. A boy who wears foundation is no less mature than a boy of his age who does not (not unless he is less mature, but it has nothing to do with make up). You know who needs to grow up? People who have trouble getting along with people who are different.

"People who are different"... You act like they're mutants with professor Xavier as their leader. Why not change humanity and society as a whole? Men turn into females and females turn into males and we will have Baboons as bartenders. Look, you don't see a fish trying to act like a dinosaur do you? Even if one did, we would probably strap it down and examine it for years... So why should we be able to automatically want to change out gender and act like something we're not.

Also, its funny you'd mention that people who have trouble getting along with those who are different should grow up. You practically just made a political argument... Get along with Muslim women then and Afghans and Arabs. Why are americans and british fighting in their land? Just because they're different and dislike the western system?

Let me guess... you're one of the Muslims on TSR who is offended by the mere existence of gay people? You know, you're lucky there are two or three sane Muslims here: otherwise people might get the impression that you're all nut-jobs. Come on, your religion doesn't have to be about hate. Islam initially granted more rights to women. Why do you have to mess up a good thing?

Lol. I'm not sure if you've opened your eyes to the world but Islam is the most attacked religion on earth, hence why I spoke about Islam. No, I am not a Muslim but Islam is a beautiful religion (if you look past the stereotypes and the media)

"You're all nut-jobs" is completely subjective so Idc about that. Also, who bases their opinion on religion? Those are just excuses people make to hide their true feelings and emotions... A religion can never control man unwillingly, man chooses to believe in the religion and its laws.

Also, I have my opinion, you have yours. We don't all like eachother, we're not living in candy land where I expect us to live like Telletubbies holding eachothers hands while singing kumbaya. If you don't respect my opinion or like the way I think then that's your problem mate... If you think that we should all "respect who are different" then you should also respect my opinion that's different from yours.

I respect the fact that you HAVE an opinion, but my opinion is that your opinion is medieval and highly problematic. And people use religion to justify atrocities all the time (see: the Spanish Inquisition, the Crusades, 9/11, every witch hunt in the history of ever, etc.)

I also find your use of a hashtag as offensive as the rest of what you've written. Are you twelve? Man... you really need to grow up. Actually, I support your right to express your immaturity as long as you want, just so long as you aren't hurting anyone in the process.

Cheers.
So basically, OP is making three points.

1) Men, be more masculine. Women, be feminine.

2) Everyone should act their age.

3) No one should be gay.

Jesus, I hope you're trolling!

I don't mind you insulting me because it doesn't mean anything. I've developed an immunity to others opinions, which is what everyone else should do too. Also, I've realised that many students on TSR refer to others as "children" or "kids" as if they're 40 years old, puffing on a pipe while raising 4 children. You're still in your early 20's, enjoy your youth while it lasts. Don't drink dated wine or champagne, drink beer and shots... Don't take a girl out to dinner, take her to a concert or party.

Also, we all have our different opinions on 9/11 and events like these. Some may see them as a governmental act used to enforce laws and stir up the media, while others see it as an act of Terrorism on a building where 70% of employees weren't in. Think about it, since 9/11 governments have been doing whatever they want and getting away with it with no questions asked.

One more thing, I have nothing against women... To a certain extent I'm a feminist, I believe that women and men should earn the same amount of money and be able to work the same jobs and go to the same places. But everything has limits, you can't let everything just get out of hand. The number of transvestites has risen by like 400% in the last 10 years... 30 years from now gender references are going to be removed and are going to be a thing of the past...

if you look past the stereotypes and the media, you get to the intolerance, fanatic dogma and incitement to hatred and violence. if you look past that then you get to the extensive 1300 year history of war, arabic imperialsim and slavery. you look past that, then theres not a great deal left to look at.

I didn't say that:

"No one should be gay".

Everyone should act their age - Correct. I believe in this...

Men should be more masculine and women be more feminine - Yes ofcourse, otherwise its safe to assume that we're all gay. Liking a girl that acts like a man practically means that you're attracted to men.

Arabic imperialism? What are you talking about mate. So English/Western imperialism and slavery doesn't exist? LOOOOOL There has been more hatred and slavery in English and western countries than anywhere across the world.

If you even show interest in stereotypes and the media then pfft... Idk what to say really.

well, for the record, the arab slave trade started before and outlasted any slave trade in history of the world. islams history= colonialism and slavery, even with its ills and own bad history, so islam cannot be held up as the shining example to the west, more like the dirty cousin.

You keep getting mixed up between Arabs and Muslims. Many Arabs aren't Muslim... But yeah, there has been times of slavery and hatred in the Arab world as well as the English/Western countries.

But hey, people are still complaining about Black slavery in western countries...

well it was the arabs that first colonised the islamic world and imposed their culture and religion on everyone, in the same way europeans imposed their culture on the americas etc. the non arab muslims werent much better, mughals, ottomans, shias, sunnis etc. if you were going to pick good representatives of the human race you certainly wouldnt pick the islamic world or early european christians.

The only reason there's been an perceived "increase" in trans* people is because more people feel safe coming out now, whereas it was a more dangerous world 10 years ago. You're probably to young to know about the death of Brandon Teena, but there was a film made about it (which was also before your time).

I am transgender. Forgive me for not taking you very seriously.

Females are called the "opposite sex" for a reason. Why do men and women exist if we think of em as the same people?

I think that women are more fragile than men and are more emotional, proven by science and religion. So, not everything that I apply to men is applicable to women.

Did you really just use the phrase 'proven by religion'?

Well, you decide what you wanna be mate, noones pointing a finger at you or saying anything. Also, saying "before your time" indicates that you're like double my age, so you're in your 40's now or late 30's? If not then I don't know how old you think I am... You also assume that everyone that's "not young" knows about the death of Brandon Teena... Logic?

Yeah I know it's more safe for them to come out... I just don't see a bright future for humanity. Society has only just started accepting trans and homosexuals, look at the significant increase in both. I think it's safe to assume that 10-15 years down the line there will no more references to gender or sexual attraction since it's going to be all over the place. Soon hetrosexualism is going to be accepted by law and people might start dating animals or getting married to em. You can see all this change as normal, but I for one am not that happy.

You can disagree with what I say or disregard it completely... No ones telling you to take me seriously.

What's wrong with girly boys or girls who are boyish? You really need to ditch the medieval thinking and progress with the times.
