Aw that's nice that you were there. Thanks for the reply anyway 'wisened younger' haha

Haha you're welcome!! If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me (here or PM or anywhere comfortable to you)! My friend's condition "wisened" me a lot about the issue. I wish you all the best
Absolute. My main symptoms of depression are insomnia or sleep deprivation, being quick to fatigue and a very odd fuzzy-head feeling. My main feelings of anxiety are tension, headache, chest pains resembling heartburn (very scary as a hypochondriac) and when it's bad, nausea. Consistently they have got better and worse in line with CBT and other therapies. Medication I have to say made me feel a bit ill, Fluoxetine tablets taste like plastic and for a week I couldn't eat.
Hello

What you're experiencing is really normal, and the Mind website has some really useful writing which helps to explain some of the links between the mental health and physical health symptoms

E.g
http://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/types-of-mental-health-problems/anxiety-and-panic-attacks/about-anxiety-and-panic-attacks/#.VNIwTH8gGK0

Our mental health and ohysical health go so hand in hand and although we often treat them separately, they are all part of us and are interdependent on each other. Sometimes it can help to know that as it can enable us to rationalise any physical symptoms we feel as there's an explanation in how we are feeling.

If you ever want to PM me feel free to, I'm a student occupational therapist with an interesting in specialising in mental health and I have a fair bit of experience working, mainly with those experiencing anxiety and depression.

Take care x

I get really bad eczema when my mental health is in a bad place. Really annoying as it takes ages to go away. I still have some left after a bad experience nearly 5 months ago.
sorry to hear that, that must difficult to deal with on top of the mental stress as well. Hope it clears soon

When you say consistently they have got better and worse in line with CBT and other therapies, do you mean when having the therapies you saw a reduction in symptoms or rather a ability to handle them better?

Yes, both, ability to handle makes the problems eventually reduce, sometimes disappear for a time

It isn't that bad. People think it must be really painful because my leg (current spot of the eczema) is bleeding a lot. But it is really just itchy. It is more annoying than anything else.

But it does have a positive side. If it flares up I know I need to go and see someone because things are about to get bad. Think of it more like an early warning system.

Most of my symptoms are mental though. Loss of sleep, inability to eat (which is a good thing at them moment as I currently weigh 13 stone and am only a 5' 10" tall bloke) and feeling confused and paranoid. I'll take eczema over that any day.

yeah :frown:, do you have any creams or anything for it?

Ah lack of sleep is one of my worst symptoms, because without sleep everything just becomes amplified.

Do you take any medication for the psychological side of things or therapy or anything?
