Was just looking over my essay plans and have come across the question: "To what extent were economic factors the most important reason for Britains development of nuclear weapons?"

Just wondered what people would write for this?

I thought about structuring it into an intro and conclusion plus a paragraph on how the development happened to help prolong Britain's world power status, another on how development happened in order to protect ourselves from the USSR during the Cold War and finally agree with the statement that they were developed in order to save money as nuclear weapons helped prolong the life span on V-bombers and also allowed for cuts to conventional forces.

Not sure if that would be correct though?!! :/
