Will student finance cover this?
I was on a software engineering course (with a year in industry, 4 year course in total), but after the first year I've decided to transfer to a mathematics course (three year course). I'll either be on the first year or the foundation year, making it either three years or four years. I've heard they cover 4 years only or something, so would taking the foundation year mean I'd have to pay for the final year, or how would it work?
I've heard others say it's the length of the course plus a gift year minus years already studied, but I don't know if that means the length of the first course or the 'current' one (I was on a 3 year course plus a year in industry, the course I'm moving to with a foundation year would be 4 years).
