Close enough?
How close, is close enough for examiners? For example doing a past-paper I got 3.9 x10 to the 16 and the answer was 4.0 on the mark scheme, is that close enough or would I not get the mark?
This depends on two things, if they have explicitly stated 'To one sig figure' or 'Rounded' then you will loose a mark. Otherwise, they will accept 1 significant figure more than the stated mark scheme (for OCR A).
