Cryolite lowers the activation energy and its economically more efficient less energy used

Why aluminium oxide is a mixture one I said how it’s melting point is way too high so it needs to be a mixture to lower it

Cant be magnesium oxide its chromium because transition metals are catalysts
Original post by Baby_Mama
Catalyst was magnesium oxide
one of the answers were Equation 2 because moles were both 0.04
i got mass of oxygen to be 144kg
polysterene cup is used to prevent heat escaping

what wud u say grade boundaries would be someone plz make a good estimate

Last year it was 75% for a 9 so it would probably stay the same or increase/decrease by 2/3 marks
i got the same for the 2000kg Aluminium Oxide but not the bond energy
Original post by sim_c1
I got 941kg on the 2000kg Aluminium Oxide question and -1002 on the bond energy

What did everyone get for the standard form question

I got something like 4.0366 x 10^4
I put chromium and then cut it out smh
Original post by deepakbaji
i thought the catalyst was chromium because chromium is a transition metal that has the properties for a catalyst.
-1272 maybe?

Original post by charlieost
-1200 ish (cant remember the exact number) on the bond energies. And i got 200kg ish for the mass of oxygen however i am not confident :frown:
anyone know why steps 5 and 7 were repeated in the copper oxide question?
I got -1272 too. I think they made a printing error as they should've put kj /mol not kj.

I got -1272 aswell

The bond energy was -1272(If I remeber correctly)
Last question was 0.62 and 34.72
The graph question (where they crossed) was like 11.5
Mass of oxygen was 941.17.....(round if needed but the question didn’t state to do so)
The standard form was 4.0344x10^4
The volume of gas was around 50 something

Think that’s all the maths questions
yeah but because it was printed it doesn't matter

What was the formula for astatine
How do you work out the volume of gas?

I got the sand for the 941kg one

What did you get for the gas calculation
Original post by mosquito1234
For the last question I got 0.62 mol/dm^3 and 69.44 g/dm^3 for the last question, but the second one is wrong

I got the same
what did you get for the question wehre it asked what would u see if u added Na to Cl2
I think I got most of them aswell.
