Work experience for social anthropology

Hi, I am a year 12 student and am wanting to study social anthropology at university. I think that it is important to gain some sort of work experience before applying for a subject, but i am unsure of what work experience would link to this course.
Does anyone have any ideas?
And also if you studied social anthropology at university, what was your experience of it?

That's a good idea, thank you! i'm not sure if any universities near me offer social anthropology specifically, so i'll have to do a bit more research into that.

did you manage to get the work shadowing placement, because i am interested in the same course so would be interested if this is something that is actually possible or if i should look for something else
