does anyone know how to work out the following

-3e^7a+9 + 6 = -6

2^2x-1 = 4^3

For the first one, assuming you mean -3e^(7a+9) + 6 = -6, then get the exponential term on one side, the numbers on the other side, then take natural logs.

For the second one, assuming you mean 2^(2x-1) = 4^3, then note that 4 = 2^2, then go from there.
