Good luck all! I hope you get the grades you want
Wanna just pop in and say good luck to everyone for your exams tomorrow! Ensure you guys get good sleep and eat well. For something to go into long term memory, it needs consolidation, and one of the key drivers of this process is REM sleep. Get ample sleep (your ideal 7-8 hours) and try not to cram last second things, as you will more often or not forget what you just did and stress out even more (been there done that myself personally)
Yes good luck! Everyone feeling prepared?
I need helppp
Okay basically I finished all the biology past papers and I wish if that helped still stuck on 50s mostly because i don't understand exam techniques can anyone tell me where can I find other past papers that are not on the aqa website
or if someone could tell me what to revise last minute it would be great

I don’t know if this’ll help much since you might have covered most of them during your past paper stuff.

These are questions by topic, with the grades in them to gauge difficulty. Mark scheme is at the end so just scroll down.

Any tips for revision on the day before? Short-term memory tips? I also have German tmr so I don't have heaps of time.

How do you get 6 marks on this? The question is - Compare the structure of a red blood cell with the structure of a plant cel. It has indicative content but not marks per point

I'm not an examiner haha but I believe to get 5/6 marks you need most of/all of the indicative content. To quote the mark scheme, you need 'A judgement, strongly linked and logically supported by a sufficient range of correct reasons (which the indicative content generally shows)'. So you need to have a good, strong answer that an examiner can look at and see exactly what you're talking about, and you've not omitted anything. It's hard to self-mark the questions because some examiners are stricter. To get a level 2 - 3/4 marks - if you were given a figure, you must have included some of your own knowledge as well as data from the figure. So long as you've got that, you can give yourself a 'rough' mark from how much you got - e.g. if you've got 2/3 of the points, you're probably looking at about 3/4 marks so long as you're argument is well structured, considered, and makes sense. Hope that helps! Best of luck with tomorrow

Hi everyone. Does anyone have any predictions on what will come up in the biology exam on Tuesday, or what 6 markers or required practicals?

Plant defences, cancer, ions in plants like nitrate ions and magnesium ions. Exchanging surfaces questions, transpiration and translocation. 100% monoclonal, and possibly metablosim
I have german tomorrow too(Original post by Glemon)Any tips for revision on the day before? Short-term memory tips? I also have German tmr so I don't have heaps of time.
