Periodical Payments in Financial Orders (Divorce settlement)
With a clean break order, it is clear that one party cannot make a claim against the other once the lump sum is paid. So if either won the lottery, the other cannot make a claim.
My question is about periodical payments - can one partner claim against the other for something like a lottery win, while the periodical payments are still being paid?
This is for a homework assignment. I have trawled through the internet but it doesn't explicitly state this. Wondering if anyone knows.
