feeling ******* awful after rejection

Internationals aren't prioritised over rUK - it's only scottish student numbers that are strictly capped (because they're subsidised by the scottish government).

Have you requested feedback in writing from Edinburgh?
Would you be willing to take a gap year and reapply with your grades in hand?
I'm really sorry you are feeling so crappy, it sucks.
No system is perfect but this one is as fair as it can be and its just a process you need to go through. Its not personal and its not anyone's fault.

As PQ says, if Edinburgh is what you want, get feedback, work hard for your results, apply next year with actual grades and take a gap year getting work experience to support your application.

Good luck!
